Otis W. Brawley, MD, MACP, FRCP(L), FASCO, FACE

Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Oncology and Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University 

Dr. Brawley is an authority on cancer screening and prevention. He leads a broad interdisciplinary research effort focused on cancer health disparities at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Brawley's work focuses on how to close racial, economic, and social inequalities in the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer. It is concentrated on the appropriate practice of evidence-based medicine, efficiency in healthcare and the waste that occurs when there is not orthodox interpretation of science.

Karen Winkfield, MD, PhD

Dr. Winkfield is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Ingram Professor of Cancer Research at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, and Professor of Medicine at Meharry Medical College. She is the Executive Director of the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance. She is a national expert in reducing sociocultural and economic barriers that contribute to disparate cancer health outcomes for racial/ethnic minorities and underserved populations. Dr. Winkfield was appointed by President Joe Biden to the National Cancer Advisory Board in 2021, where she will serve a six-year term and help guide federal initiatives that focus on cancer.

Professor of Radiation Oncology, Co-Director of Breast Radiation Oncology, and Clinical Research at Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center

Dr. Shah studies and provides patient care in breast radiation therapy, has led the development of national guidelines for breast radiation therapy, and researches increasing access to screening for women experiencing homelessness by providing onsite mobile mammography at shelters.
