The Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence

The Zielony Nursing Institute, established with distinguished benefactor Stanley Shalom Zielony, oversees the practice and professional development of nearly 32,000 nursing caregivers. Our culture of shared governance allows nurses to learn, grow and remain professionally challenged as they shape their nursing career.

From bedside to leadership, our nurses are supported by the following designated offices: Ambulatory, Advanced Practice, Education and Professional Practice Development, Emergency and Behavioral Health, Informatics, Quality and Practice, Research and Innovation and Surgical Nursing.

And we boast an accredited Nurse Residency Program, an innovative competency and simulation-based program that is one year in length. The program supports new graduates and experienced nurses entering a new specialty. We honor and respect the experiences each nurse brings; therefore, the program is tailored to meet each nurse’s unique clinical and professional development needs.
