Sports injuries among young athletes are on the rise. According to a recent national study, high school athletes account for an estimated two million injuries, 500,000 doctor visits and 30,000 hospitalizations every year.
To help reverse this trend, Cleveland Clinic Sports Health has partnered with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine on its national campaign, STOP Sports Injuries. This campaign creates awareness for the rapid increase in youth sports injuries, the necessary steps to help prevent future injuries and the need to keep young athletes healthy.
